Ongoing Projects

Miami, Florida

High school students in Broward County, Florida came together to organize an eyeglasses donation drive for the Eye See You See Vision Project, working with both Florida Key Club’s Division 24B schools and local non-profit organization Envision:Youth to collect over 500 pairs of glasses to donate to the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute’s Eyeglass Library. American Heritage Junior Shana Xia, who is Division 24B’s Lieutenant Governor and the Executive Director of Envision:Youth, organized the collaborative donation project with 13 different high schools in Broward County, getting participation from both students and families alike.

St. Louis, Missouri

As an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis, I have incorporated several new donation locations in Missouri. In partnership with Washington University Eye Center and Barnes Jewish Hospital, Eye See You See Vision Project has collected thousands of used prescription eyeglasses here and subsequently donated them to underserved populations worldwide through Lions Club International. We are planning to expand our collection sites to other locations in the United States to further our mission.

Boca Raton, Florida

When we were young, our parents spoke to us about the wonderful work being done by the Boca Raton Lions Club to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding. In particular, we learned that it was a priority for the Lions Club to support sight programs, which was also our priority, so we knew that we wanted to volunteer for this organization. We are so proud to have been recognized for our contributions by the Boca Raton Lions Club with the certificate of appreciation.
